2020 March Break Camp

Monday March 16 to Friday March 20, 2020

All rep players and experienced house league players (grade 4 to grade 9, girls and boys) wishing to improve their individual basketball skills during the upcoming March Break, now have the chance to take part in a unique training opportunity.  Silver Knights Basketball Club will be holding a week-long camp featuring skills clinics, transition drills, small-sided games, game situation drills and tournament play (Monday March 16 to Friday March 20, 2020).

The program has been developed by Silver Knights Basketball Club with the assistance of this year’s instructor, Coach Clinton Cybulski, President of Educated Baller and Director of Point Guard College Camps.

Parents and Coaches, don’t miss out on the opportunity to bring your young rising stars to Jean Vanier CHS in Richmond Hill during this upcoming March Break. All registrations must be done online, spaces are limited.

2023 “Fun & Fundamentals” March Break Camp

Monday March 13 to Friday March 17, 2023

All house league and rep players (grade 4 to grade 9, girls and boys, born 2008 to 2013) wishing to improve their individual basketball skills during the upcoming March Break, now have the chance to take part in a unique training opportunity. The Silver Knights Basketball Club is excited to offer our annual “Fun & Fundamentals” March Break Camp instructed by our President and Director of Silver Knights Camps: Coach Raoul Baumgartner.

Our camps have a fun-filled agenda/itinerary prepared daily.

No previous basketball experience is necessary!!

More than 30+ hours of  basketball in one week!  Don’t delay, spaces are limited.  All registrations must be done online.

  • March Break “Fun & Fundamentals” Camp
    LOCATION: St Augustine CHS (2188 Rodick Road, Markham)


5 Days – Monday March 13 to Friday March 17, 2023

Time: 9:00am to 3:20pm Daily

Cost: $375*

* Above cost includes a Silver Knights reversible jersey needed for the camp.
Take a $15 discount if your child will bring their own Silver Knights reversible jersey they are currently using in their YSSK house league program.

Girls and Boys Basketball Players (Grade 4 to Grade 9, see criteria below)**
St Augustine CHS (2188 Rodick Road, Markham:   Woodbine and 16th Ave area, very close to Hwy 404)

Criteria to attend:**
  • Must be currently in grade 4 to grade 9, girls and boys (born 2008 to 2013), and
  • Must possess a passion for the game, a strong desire to “get better” and a willingness to work hard in order to improve.
Additional Details:
  1. All participants MUST bring and wear daily their Silver Knights reversible jersey.
  2. All participants SHOULD bring their own appropriate sized basketball (labelled with their name on it).
  3. Please wear indoor running shoes or basketball shoes and proper athletic attire.
  4. All participants should also pack a water bottle (labelled with their name on it), small towel, extra socks and an extra t-shirt.
  5. Lunch and snacks are not provided – Participants must bring a PEANUT-FREE lunch and PEANUT-FREE snacks each day.
  6. No extended before or after care hours.
  7. Program starts at 9:00am sharp and ends at 3:20pm.
  8. Participates can arrive no earlier than 8:30am (supervision start time) and must be picked up no later than 3:30pm SHARP (no exceptions).
  9. Participants must commit to all 5 days (no pro-rated days).

Coach Raoul Baumgartner

  • President and one of 3 founding Partners of York South Silver Knights Basketball Club (YSSK).
  • Retired Educator, with an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree, Bachelor of Education Degree, and Masters Degree in Language and Learning Disabilities.
  • Coached basketball at both the elementary school level and at the Rep Competitive Team level for 35+ years, winning 5 Board Championships and 10+ Area Championships for the YCDSB, plus placed 2nd in the Intermediate (grade 7/8) GTA Championships.
  • Successfully coached players who later obtained NCAA Division #1 Scholarships in the USA, and players who later played on the Canadian Jr. National Team and the Sr. National Team.
  • Level 3 NCCP Certified Technical Basketball Instructor with Ethics qualifications.
  • Mentored/facilitated YSSK camp counselors who later took on such roles as High Profile Elite Basketball Coaches or York Region Officials.
  • Father of two children, Ross and Bianca.  Ross is currently at U of Ottawa pursuing Computer Engineering.  He played 7 years of Rep Basketball with YSSK, and was a House League Coach. Bianca is currently attending the Athletic High School, Bill Crothers.  She is a shooting guard for her Silver Knights Rep Competitive Team.
  • Personal Philosophy: Always attempting to make a difference in every basketball player, and teach them all life-long lessons that go well beyond the game itself.
  • “It’s not the cards that you are given in life, but how you play them that matters.”

  • Shooting mechanics and fundamentals
  • Learning how to finishing around the rim with contact
  • Passing techniques
  • Plenty of team competitions
  • 1 on 1, 2 on 2, 3 on 3, 4 on 4, and 5 on 5 games
  • Dribbling skills
  • Energizing teammates
  • Celebrating others
  • Defensive energy
  • What to say/communicate with your teammates
  • Tournament play throughout the week
  • Lots of fun and much more!

Refund/Cancellation Policy: March Break Camp
  • Refunds/Cancellations will only be accepted if notified in writing to the Registrar by e-mail (, on or before Sunday March 5, 2023.
  • NO REFUNDS will be given starting Monday March 6, 2023.
  • No verbal communication of cancellation will be accepted.
  • All refund requests are subject to a $50 administration cost.
  • Dishonoured payments will incur a $40 service charge.
