2025 Fall/Winter Co-Ed Specialized Small-Group training offered by Silver Knights Basketball Club: Eight 90-minute training sessions
INSTRUCTOR: Dennis Ziorli (Training on Thursday Nights in Richmond Hill)
Dennis Ziorli is a well-known experienced and certified coach with over 40 years of instructional coaching for various sports (30 years coaching basketball specifically). Dennis will be offering co-ed small-group training opportunities with Silver Knights Basketball Club for boys and girls (Grade 5 to Grade 8). The program is designed to not only improve a player’s individual offensive skills, but to help players become better teammates and play with more confidence, more intelligence and more character. Each player will be evaluated at the beginning of the session and progress will be monitored. Valuable and comprehensive feedback will be provided throughout the session.
As per Dennis Ziorli, “In small group training, I will assess the individual needs of players and provide differentiated instruction to ensure that all players maximize their skills and improve their decision making by the end of training. The focus will be on challenging players to work outside their comfort zone to improve areas of weakness and learn new skills by providing immediate feedback and corrections. The players will be provided with various drills that will progress towards the acquisition of skills that can be applied in a game situation.”
Moreover, this program will be devoted to the individual hoopster’s level of skills and play.
Dennis will provide training for Grade 5 to Grade 8 (girls and boys) with a group of no more than 6 players. This session is designed to instill the necessary fundamental skills and concepts essential for success.

**No younger or older players will be allowed to attend.
** IMPORTANT NOTES:
- Our “Specialized Small-Group Training” is meant for players to take the new skills taught each session to be applied to a weekly rep game or house league game.
Therefore, to participate:
- The player is on a current 2025-2026 Silver Knights Rep Competitive Team or other Ontario Rep Team registered with Basketball Ontario (practicing 2 times per week plus games/tournaments on various weekends),
- OR the player is currently participating in our 2025-2026 Fall/Winter Silver Knights house league (running from October 2025 to January 2026 on Saturdays/Sundays in Markham or Richmond Hill), or another Ontario Basketball Club’s house league program.
- Players must attend and pay for all eight 90-minute sessions. No pro-rated fees apply.
